Process & Projects Engineer (Manager level) – A leading FMCG manufacturer in Wexford is seeking an experienced Process & Projects Engineer to drive capital projects, process optimisation, and technical leadership across a high‑volume production facility. This role is central to advancing manufacturing performance, process safety, and the site’s ambitious sustainability and zero‑carbon goals.
What You’ll Do
- Lead major capital projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
- Manage external engineering partners, contractors, and cross‑functional project teams
- Drive process improvements in quality, productivity, cost, and automation
- Support R&D, scale‑up, and technology transfer initiatives
- Provide expert process engineering support to operations and technical teams
- Oversee Management of Change (MOC) and ensure compliance with Seveso, ATEX, CDM, HAZOP, and other regulatory standards
- Identify future process enhancement opportunities and build strong business cases for investment
What You Bring
- Degree in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering
- 10+ years’ experience in high‑tech, high‑volume manufacturing (FMCG, pharma, food, healthcare, etc.)
- Proven track record delivering large capital projects and managing multi‑disciplinary teams
- Strong knowledge of process design, automation, instrumentation, and control systems
- Experience with process safety, regulatory compliance, and change management
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
