Overview
HR Generalist required by large FMCG company based in Charleville, North Cork. The overall Purpose of this job is :- This hands-on HR role will provide support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, payroll processes, GDPR compliance and HR systems within a busy manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be based at the Charleville production plant in Co. Cork and will have the following key duties and responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, induction and offboarding;
- Provide HR support and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, absence management, performance management, discipline and grievance processes;
- Assist with work permit administration and pre-employment checks for non-EU recruitment where required;
- Prepare HR reports and workforce data relating to absence, turnover, annual leave and working time compliance;
- Support payroll administration and liaise with payroll and finance on pay-related matters;
- Support HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, graduate recruitment and ethical audit requirements.
The ideal candidate will have or demonstrate:
- Third level qualification in HR or relevant discipline;
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an HR Generalist, HR Officer, HR Coordinator or similar HR role;
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment law, HR best practice and GDPR requirements;
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, absence management and HR administration;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HR systems such as CoreHR / PeopleXD and payroll administration is an advantage.
