Agricultural Mechanic
Our client based in County Waterford are seeking an Agricultural Mechanic to join its team. This role will work as part of the service team and will involve diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues across a wide range of agricultural equipment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to keep machinery running reliably.
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and mechanical components.
- Repair pumps, valves, hoses, and cylinders to restore proper hydraulic function.
- Troubleshoot wiring faults, sensors, control modules, and electronic systems.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns during busy seasons.
- Document repairs, parts used, service intervals, and diagnostic findings.
- Work closely with other members of the team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Agricultural Mechanic, with expertise in tractor and farm equipment servicing and repairs.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel for breakdowns and repairs.
- Clean Driving License.
