HR Manager required by fast growing FMCG company based in Co Waterford. Reporting to the Operations Director, the overall purpose of the role the HR Manager will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions, including payroll, scheduling, recruitment, training, and compliance with health and safety standards. This role requires a proactive, organized individual capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the role:-

  • Administer payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Coordinate employee schedules, manage time-off requests, and oversee time management systems.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, from posting job ads to managing the interview process and onboarding new hires.
  • Organise work experience placements
  • Manage training programs to support employee development
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and manage all aspects of employee relations, including contracts, probation periods, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the company and serve as a liaison with union representatives.
  • Steer employee engagement initiatives, including People Survey and impact plans
  • Support annual performance appraisal, and objective setting
  • Contribute to HR projects, such as drafting of an employee handbook, revising our HR technology, and implementing safety protocols.


  • Degree in Human Resources, or related field.
  • Ideally CIPD Qualified, with good understanding of current employment legislation
  • Proven experience in Human Resources, with a strong understanding of HR operations and legal compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
