Senior Planning role in a leading FMCG company based in South Tipperary. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the purpose of this role is to manage the day to day planning of production and Customer Requirement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop Master Production Schedule for production planning and purchasing and manage on a Day to Day basis. Ensure accurate forecasting model.
- Work with Sales team to align sales forecast with supply on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Develop demand plans interface on supply issues, monitor commitments and work demand changes
- Liaise with Sales on Supply / Demand issues
- Work with Sales team on new product/customer introduction
- Inventory reporting and interface on excess Inventory, stock taking and reconciliation.
- Develop procedures for all relevant processes and ensure adherence
- Manage and Support Customer Service lead on order and Supply Management
- Manage the logistics function.
- Regular status / communication reporting
- Ensure all KPI's are met and are accurate
- Propose and investigate cost saving initiatives
- Ensure that all shipping paperwork is made available to the warehouse in a timely manner
- Liaise with the Warehouse and carriers to ensure there are sufficient trailers at all times for loading
- Ensure relevant stakeholders are updated on a daily basis with details on any supply issues that may arise
- Provide guidance and leadership for team and monitor performance.
- Ensure appraisals are carried out on time, and in an effective way
- Participate in projects / teams as required
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior role in WCM/ import/export environment and or manufacturing / planning environment is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to interact with people at all levels
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to prioritise and make sound business decisions
- An organised and consistent approach to work
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience in Good knowledge of P.C. skills / Materials related information systems
- Flexibility and ability to manage change

- IPICS certification desirable
- Project management skills desirableThird level degree in a relevant discipline desirable
