Assistant Accountant (Part Qualified)
Growing chartered accountancy practice based in Waterford City have a vacancy for a Part Qualified Accountant /Qualified Accounting Technician who may want to pursue further exams. The practice is a long established practice and has a reputation for providing a highly professional, quality, client orientated service to all their clients who operate in variety of industries. It would be expected the new member of the team would operate with the same professional manner
Reporting to the Partner, you will be responsible for
· Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, Sole traders and partnerships for review by the partner
· Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients
· Performance of various data analysis for clients
· Calculation and submission of corporation taxation, income tax, VAT, Paye, P35's etc
· Dealing with ongoing client queries via meeting , email and on the phone
· Working to the CRO and Tax Deadlines
Experience & Skills required
· Part Qualified ACA ,ACCA or CPA or Qualified Accounting Technician (IATI, AAT)
· A minimum of 2+ years relevant practice experience preparing accounts is essential
· Some experience of audit an advantage
· Experience of using sage line 50, Sage Accounts, and various cloud based accounting packages
· Great Excel, Outlook and Word experience important
· A good "can do", professional manner with strong communication skills essential
· An ability to work under your own initiative is a must
