New role for an Industrial Engineer II role in a leading medical devices company based in South Tipperary.
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing manufacturing and business process improvements that increase capacity, reduce lead-time, reduce the work-in-process, improve fill-rates, and improve process flow and efficiency. These actions will occur across multiple facets of the organization including: manufacturing, design, supplier development, documentation, and suppliers.
Projects will incorporate lean manufacturing, theory of constraints, quick response manufacturing, Just-In-Time, Methods-Time Measurement, or a variety of other systems improvement philosophies. The employee will be required to create strong relationships with team members internal and external to Boston Scientific to ensure project success.
Responsibilitie
- Analyzes, creates and implements manufacturing and/or business process improvements that increase capacity, reduce lead-time, eliminate non-valued added, reduce work in process and improve fill rates
- Completes capacity analyzes internally and/or at suppliers for headcount, equipment and space requirements using simulation software or other effective t
- Designs, implements and maintains effective metrics with internal customers or suppliers to ensure unbridled supply is achieve
- Participates as a core member in cross-functional teams to quickly troubleshoot and eliminate product supply issues internally or at suppli
- Makes recommendations to design teams, which drive higher yielding, lower cost, more manufacturable products. May use financial analyses tool and recommend alternative courses of action
- Convinces internal customer or suppliers to make fundamental changes to their manufacturing and/or business processes so that unbridled supply can be achieved
- Develops and coordinates ergonomic projects

- 5 -7 yrs experience working in a high volume production environment
